A man suspected of killing an 18-year-old woman in Rancho Cordova was shot by police in Elk Grove after a vehicle chase on Highway 99 on Wednesday, authorities said. The woman was found dead outside of a home in the 3000 block of Ramsgate Way at 1:15 p.m., the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said. The coroner identified her on Friday as Saraiah Acosta. The sheriff's office said that they responded to a caller who said that a man had stabbed the woman and run her over with a vehicle. Officers found the woman with multiple stab wounds.
