When a 19-year-old is accused of murdering her lover, the facade of her seemingly perfect family begins to crack. The teen’s parents, a priest and a lawyer, have secrets of their own, too. Just how much do they really know about one another? Based on the bestselling book by M.T. Edvardsson, the crime thriller A Nearly Normal Family (En helt vanlig familj) was directed byPer Hanefjord (Agent Hamilton) and penned by The Truth Will Out screenwriters Anna Platt and Hans Jörnlind. The series stars Lo Kauppi, Björn Bengtsson, and newcomer Alexandra Karlsson Tyrefors.
“From the first encounter with this story, I have appreciated that it really has something at heart,” Hanefjord told Netflix. “It raises complex issues, offers depth of character, and all the while with engaging suspense.”
